Our Sustainability
Ensuring nothing goes to waste.
One of the questions we get asked routinely is, what happens to all of the leftover pulp from your juice production? Another benefit of being surrounded by the best agricultural land in the county is being able to send our grinds and scraps back to our growers and farmers to use as compost or feed for their livestock.
Reducing environmental impact.
According to the EPA, approximately 160 billion pounds of food are wasted every year. The U.S. spends $218 billion each year growing, processing, transporting, and disposing of this food. As wasted food breaks down in landfills, it emits methane, a potent greenhouse gas with 56 times the atmospheric warming power of carbon dioxide.
By diverting our leftover organic material to nearby farms, we are doing our small part to make a difference. Our team is continually working to make our business as sustainable as possible.
Closing the loop.
Each week we deliver fresh organic material derived from our juicing process to local farms.
